We are not here to sweep things
under the rug…
Our commitment in sourcing items is
responsible, fair and sustainable
Our rugs are made using raw materials that can easily be replaced and are abundant in nature. We strive to also have rug collections that are made of recycled materials. We believe that creativity applies beyond the aesthetic but also finding innovative ways to reduce our ecological footprint starting from working only with production houses that recycle water and energy-conserving methods in their processes.
We do not cut corners when we design and source our items. From the designers, spinners, dyers, to the weavers, we uphold the unique and traditional techniques employed by our artisans for hundreds of years. The synergy of nature and craft are handled with such care until it reaches our store.
Welfare of Weavers
Every Living DNA piece you take with you has a story that is beyond its aesthetic. But also the lives of the artisans in making your item. We work alongside local agents to ensure that the welfare of our weavers are taken care of - continually making sure the environment they work in fits local and international industry standards of environmental and ethical aspects especially for their health and well-being.
Living DNA has always taken an uncompromising stand when it comes to protocols that ensure fair treatment and compensation for the people involved with the production of our products.
For every client that comes to our store, we want to share the beauty of every handmade work so that it becomes a keeper instead of a buy-use-throw item.
