Viscose, the material used for our Alchemy rug series, is a semi-synthetic type of rayon fabric made from wood pulp. Also known as "art silk", viscose is a popular substitute for silk in luxury goods because it has a similar smooth feel.
Our passion and love for traditional craftsmanship motivates us and our artisans to create this simple design using a method called handloom.
Handloom is one of the finest, most time-consuming methods of rugmaking. What you get through a handloom is a supple and undeniably softer rug compared to the more rigid kind made by the regular tufting method. The process is purely artisanal, without the need for electricity. The rug is cut at the surface to create a fluffy feel.

HOW TO USE
Alchemy is best for low to medium traffic, for residential and light commercial use.
Its vibrant neutral colour is designed for you to match with, creating a contrast with a large range of furniture and interior themes, from minimalist to opulent luxury.
Use this rug in the living room, bedroom, lounge and other areas where a soft plush feel is your priority.
Not advisable for the dining area as viscose is not washable. Medium to high pile rugs will also show dents from dining chair legs.
Get the correct rug size with the help of our size guide. Ensure that your sofa, or at least its front legs, are placed on the rug.
CARE
All medium to high pile rugs shed naturally, especially when new. Vacuum clean your rug lightly. Rug shedding will gradually reduce over time with regular use. Avoid using vacuum accessories with brushes or any abrasive surface; this can aggravate shedding.
To remove spills, use a clean cloth or dry paper towel to blot any liquid immediately. Loose ends should not be pulled, but snipped off with scissors instead. It is ideal to rotate your rugs every 6 months to even the process of wear and tear.
