Handmade light blue, red, beige and black rug.
DETAILS & INSPO
A fresh tasteful colour palette infused into a classic rug design. A rare, collectible piece. The design draws inspiration from the Turkish oushak.
Our handknotted collection took six months to produce each rug. Handknotting is the pinnacle of rugmaking, the most intricate way of constructing a rug. One thread at a time is attached by a skilled artisan in order to achieve fine lines and highly detailed patterns. It requires time and concentration.
Being an artisanal masterpiece, the material of choice is important. Wool is strong, remarkably elastic and resilient which is great for a rug as it can get back to its original texture after indents made by footsteps or furniture.

CARE
All medium to high pile rugs shed naturally, especially when new. Vacuum clean your rug lightly. Rug shedding will gradually reduce over time with regular use. Avoid using vacuum accessories with brushes or any abrasive surface; this can aggravate shedding.
To remove spills, use a clean cloth or dry paper towel to blot any liquid immediately. Loose ends should not be pulled, but snipped off with scissors instead. It is ideal to rotate your rugs every 6 months to even the process of wear and tear.
In order to maintain your rug's beauty and style for years, get it professionally cleaned. Your DNA rug entitles you to a 20% discount on Professional Rug Cleaning Services. Leave us a message and we'll help you along the way.
