Keisoudo no Tokei is made from diatomaceous earth. The clock is produced using a traditional Japanese plastering technique. The design maximizes the feature and atmosphere of earth, which brings us warmth when touched. It suits a natural-material interior, what the Japanese call a “Wa” atmosphere with wood or plaster, leading to a feeling of well-being.
SiO2, the logo displayed on the clock, is the chemical symbol of the main component of diatomaceous earth.
